Feliz Navidad! Happy New Year!
How is the holiday season going? This time of year can be so stressful and exhausting that we do not always remember to be thankful for our fortunes; thoughtful towards our loved ones and mindful of our individual needs.
As I write this, I take a deep breathe and smile filled with gratitude for the wonderful gifts and lessons this year bestowed upon me. Life looks very different than it did one year ago; every single aspect in my life has changed and in very unexpected ways. I have made efforts to live a more genuine life; sharing my opinions as they are, my deepest fears, and expressed my appreciation as loudly as I could. In exchange, I find myself feeling more connected with old friends, connecting with new ones; feeling more empowered to take risks and excited to see what 2019 has in store for all of us.
I am very excited for 2019! I will continue working on making Gabby NYC Fitness a success and allow it to take the shape it is meant to have. Special thanks to all my buttkickers for the amazing year we have had; your hard work, support, camaraderie, friendship and amazing energy have kept us all going through the hellish heat of summer to the freezing temps we have recently experienced. I am grateful for Ariane (founder of BBBC) for providing the medium to get my fitness journey started as well as the support system that got me where I am.
Enjoy the festivities with your loved ones. Take some time to stay active everyday. Take time to dream. Take time to say thank you. Take time to rest and reflect. Take time to take a deep breathe and make the most out of every single day. Take time to set your goals and plan for success.
Did you try out the holiday routine I shared with you last month? Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!
Four rounds, form is most important:
15 prisoner squats
15 pulses on the lowest squat you can hold
15 push ups
hold 30 second plank
30 mountain climbers
For the grand finale, one round of 30 donkey kicks per side and stretch!
